The Govt Girls’ PG College, Ujjain, has consistently and successfully evolved into a gateway to excellence. The formidable challenge of the COVID-19 Pandemic as it hit the global scene with an unprecedented pace grievously affected the very fabric of education system in the college. This was the time when the faculty earnestly endeavored to adapt their pedagogy to the online mode. This helped them stay connected with students even during the most stringent phases of the lockdown for teaching, counseling, mentoring, assessing and even organizing co-curricular activities. The teaching fraternity took all possible steps to ensure that this transition was smooth for them as well as students to the extent that even in the post-COVID state, both the off-line and virtual platforms are now looked upon as sites of engaged learning, reflective action, and participatory pedagogy. I am proud of the highly experienced and talented faculty of this college. They are excellent teachers and research guides and are dedicated to fulfilling their commitment to the social causes.

The alumni of this college are spread far and wide and work with different portfolios for the service of humanity. They are administrators, teachers, doctors, engineers, scientists, advocates, leaders, and good Samaritans, you name the field and they are there. I also welcome the young women coming from all strata of society from distant places. They are the torchbearers of this grand legacy of Govt Girls’ PG College, Ujjain. You have new horizons to scale and brighter career opportunities await you. There is no magic wand to fulfill your dream but your own incredible dedication and unstoppable energy.
